Katie Rutter is an accomplished senior marketing professional with broad marketing, business development, and client service experience. For over 20 years, Katie has focused on helping lawyers achieve their revenue and client growth objectives. As such, she has served in key roles at AmLaw 50 firms leading client-driven initiatives and business development programs firmwide, for practice and industry groups, as well as for boutique law firms and solo practitioners. Most recently, Katie led Goodwin’s client listening programs and collaborated with the Professional Development team to develop the curriculum and brand identity for Goodwin’s first firmwide client service and business development training program.
Through her consultancy, she provides business planning, marketing, and coaching services to law firms and other professional services organizations. She also served as a Senior Advisor doing business development coaching for lawyers and law firms in conjunction with Ackert Inc.’s technology platforms, Practice Pipeline and Practice Boomers.
Katie currently serves on the Legal Marketing Association’s (LMA) 2021 Education Advisory Committee, and also served on the LMA Board of Directors in 2017 as the Regional Leadership Committee Chair and as the 2016 President of the LMA New England Chapter. She has held several other volunteer board and committee positions within the LMA as well as with the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) Boston.
